Designed from the ground up for statistical research using R, the WhisperStation™-R features dual core AMD Opteron 285 processors, 600 Watt power supply, an NVIDIA™ FX1300 PCI Express Graphics engine, 2GB memory, ultra-quiet fans, and a 20" LCD monitor.

WhisperStation™-R is available with a 64-bit Linux or Windows operating system. It can be custom configured to exact user specifications including large hard disks and RAID. In addition to NetWorkSpaces Pro™ and Sleigh™ software for R, it is available with specialized applications including amiraMOL, PGI compilers, PathScale's EKO Compiler Suite or the Intel Performance Tools. A rugged server version of this workstation is available with 4 or 8 dual core Opterons.

Clusters of Whisperstatinons and standard HPC clusters using NetworkSpaces Pro and Sleigh are also available from Microway.
