*The Six-Core AMD Opteron™ processor with AMD chipset platform uses AMD SR56x0 and SP5100 chipsets compatible with Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ (formerly codenamed ‘Shanghai’) and Six-Core AMD Opteron™ (formerly codenamed ‘Istanbul’) processors. Future platforms are expected to leverage chipsets SR56x0 and SP5100 but will use a different processor socket design
