Microway's Master Nodes and Servers can hold up to 24 Serial ATA Drives or SAS in a RAID configuration for a maxiumum of 9.2TB of space with one hot spare. Microway's RAID Server can be ordered with your choice of RAID controller. We offer Areca, 3Ware, LSI, and Highpoint controllers for internal RAID systems.

Falcon II™ Series of High Performance SATA-2 storage Systems
The Falcon II offers superior performance to any system in its class of storage with 2Gb internal bandwidth. The system features a 64-bit 133mhz databus from the CPU with Dual PCI-X buses for I/O transactions which allows bursts at up to 2132MB/sec. The Falcon II's intelligent drive handling feature retrieves data from damaged sectors, which handles low quality drives in both degraded mode and during the rebuild process. Falcon systems support hot-swap disk drives, hotswap fans and hot-swap power modules for ease of component replacement without downtime.

Benefits:
Lower cost than comparable SCSI and FC disk technology. Unparallel performance using SATA 2 drives, burst rates over 2132mb/sec, sequential reads in RAID 5 of 400mbs/sec and writes of 380mbs/sec.
