Navion Clusters deliver supercomputing performance at a lower power, lower cost, and with better cooling than the competition. Users with compute-intensive applications including DSP, CFD and FEA, as well as high-performance database and enterprise-class applications choose Navion clusters for exceptional performance and power/space efficiency.

For large core count clusters, we provide 2560 processor cores in a standard 42U rackmount cabinet. Our Navion Twin2 servers include four dual-processor compute nodes (totaling 128 cores) in a 2U chassis. Effectively doubling rack capacity, each motherboard features two 16-core AMD Opteron 6300-series processors, up to 512 GB of DDR3 1600Mhz memory, InfiniBand and Gigabit Ethernet, robust cooling, and ample storage.

Navion QuadPuter 4P nodes provide large memory and large core counts in a single 1U, 2U or 4U form factor. These systems include up to 64 cores, 1 TB of DDR3 memory, FDR InfiniBand and Gigabit Ethernet and up to 240 TB of storage. They scale from small personal clusters to multi-cabinet HPC clusters, and are also available in scalable single-system-image (SMP) configurations.

Installed Software

A Microway Navion preconfigured cluster comes preinstalled with:

  • Linux distribution of your choice, including Red Hat, SuSE, Debian, Fedora and Gentoo
  • NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit, Libraries and SDK
  • Bright Cluster Manager or Microway Cluster Management Software (MCMS™) integrated with optional MPI Link-Checker™ Fabric Validation Suite
  • Portland Group Compilers (PGI)
  • User-level applications and libraries optional
