Microway, Inc. Awarded GSA Contract
Plymouth, MA - March 24, 2003 - Microway, a leading manufacturer of
custom-configured Linux Beowulf Clusters, is proud to announce that it
has officially been awarded a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract under
agreement number GS-35F-0431N. This allows Microway to sell products and
services at pre-negotiated prices to Federal Government customers.
A major portion of Microway products are sold to government agencies.
"Microway pursued a GSA contract to provide additional service to our
Federal customers," stated Jay Owen, Vice President, Business
Development. "This will simplify procurement for long standing Microway
customers, as well as opening sales to government users who are required
to buy from vendors with a GSA contract."
In order to be granted a GSA Contract, Microway had to comply with
strict requirements focusing on pricing, reliability and quality of
their products. Microway's clusters use Xeon, Itanium2, Athlon, Opteron
or Alpha processors in 1U, 2U and 4U-based custom configurations with
monitoring and management tools.
Microway is a member of the Intel Premier Provider program and is a Myricom reseller.
Microway also integrates a wide range
of data storage, compilers and application software to provide turnkey
