RAID, Inc. Announces Strategic Partnership with Microway.

Kingston, MA -- October 15, 2001 -- - RAID, Inc., a custom SAN and RAID manufacturer specializing in end-to-end storage systems and managed services featuring StorageWatch® announced today their plans to provide Microway with storage solutions for their high end Linux clusters and servers.

Microway designs and manufactures high quality, custom configured, Linux Beowulf clusters, servers and workstations based on dual Athlon, Intel® Pentium® and Alpha processors. Microway's customers include university, corporate and government research laboratories, military installations, and financial institutions. They require state of the art compute engines for applications ranging from chemical modeling to mechanical engineering to genomics.

"RAID and Microway have worked together since 1997. We feel that both companies will leverage each other's strengths to provide customers with the latest in storage products and leading edge services. Together we will ensure that customers receive a fantastic end product. Both companies have the same corporate ethic of delivering high end products and excellent technical support," stated Greg Morris, Vice President of Products and Services at RAID, Inc.

"Microway chose RAID, Inc. because we were impressed with their technical ability to provide a breadth of products from fibre-based Storage Area Networks to smaller dedicated SCSI-based RAID storage. The quality and compatibility of products manufactured by both companies insures that Microway customers will own a robust and reliable installation. RAID, Inc.'s products will be incorporated into our offerings for those who use the Supercomputing throughput of our clusters to process information from enormous databases. These calculations require either high speed access using RAID level 5 or permanently archived data that takes advantage of the redundancy of RAID storage," stated Bill Applegate, Director of Sales and Market Development.
