Microway Moves to 30,000 Square Foot Corporate Headquarters
December 5, 2000
Microway today announced the occupancy of its new building
in historic Plymouth, Massachusetts. The move takes the company
from its original location in the Cordage Park industrial
complex to a state of the art manufacturing facility designed
for its exclusive use.
Stephen Fried, President of Microway and designer of the space
commented: "in our new building, we will be poised to triple
our sales over the next two years. The growth of our cluster
business necessitated this move. We will now be able to comfortably
accomodate growth in each of our critical departments: manufacturing,
R&D, sales, and technical support. In addition, our warehouse
space has tripled. The combination of these factors enables
Microway's team to continue to give the same excellent service
and support to our customers, while easily increasing personnel
levels to accomodate planned growth."
Over half of the 30,000 square feet facility is dedicated
to manufacturing clusters and workstations. Microway has also
added state of the art network, telephone, and lab/testing
facilities.
Citizens Bank of Massachusetts was the principal lender for
the purchase of the new facility. Peter C. Cobb and Sons was
general contractor. Sounder Systems provided electrical and
security installations. Alternative Communication Systems
provided router and telephone systems. Microway's new high
speed internal network design and implementation and T-1 administration
was handled by senior Microway technical staff.
